Help! Quilt Question

I'm almost done with the top of the country quilt, and I'm trying to decide on a color for the last border. This is what I love about Electric Quilt -- being able to try out the different fabrics before actually cutting into any of them. On this quilt, for instance, I tried a couple that I thought would be perfect -- turned out I didn't like them at all once I saw them with the rest of the quilt. So here are my final three choices:

This is my son's preference; he says blue is the way to go. I think it weighs down the quilt a bit, though.

This is the one I'm leaning toward. I *love love love* this Jane Sassaman fabric, and I've already used it on one of the flowerpots. But I'm concerned that it's not very country at all. But I love it. Still.

This is my final choice. I made the border sort of like an attic windows, using two different shades of purple to give it some depth. I thought the purple wasn't as "heavy" as the blue. But I hate compromises.

So, HELP! Which one would you choose? Or should I try something else altogether?

  1. I'll definitely be coming back here to your blog soon! I love to quilt!!! I am a bit busy this morning, but saw the link in Amy's blog (she is a member of my forum) and I wanted to let you know I found you... I love to quilt! Did I mention I love to quilt? ha ha

I voted in your poll, too (my choice is your first choice, too!)

  2. Thank you! I love to quilt too. I just finished my second quilt ever last night (though I think I have about 10 of them in various stages throughout the house, and I don't include the baby quilt I whipped together for my son at the last minute because it's not very good -- ha ha!). I started putting the Jane S. borders on the quilt and I think they do look really good. I underestimated how difficult it would be to line up the pattern, though, so I decided to use setting blocks for the corners. Almost there! (Well, minus the batting, quilting, and binding, of course!)
    Thanks for stopping by!
